Player of the day
Keibert Ruiz needed only two at bats and three innings to be the player of the day. He hit two homers and drove in five runs.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
All eyes were on Cody Bellinger and Zach McCinstry, as they began their rehab assignment with the Dodgers. Both players haven’t played in a professional game in over a month. Bellinger played in center field and finished the game 1-for-4 with an RBI. One of his outs was a flyout that missed going over the fence by a couple of feet. McKinstry was in left field and went 0-for-2 with two walks.
In other news, the OKC offense was red hot, as they won 13-3. Keibert Ruiz had himself quite the day. Through the first three innings he hit two home runs and drove in five runs.

Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers got the win in exciting fashion, as a walk-off in the bottom of the ninth gave them the 4-3 win over the Wind Surge. With two outs, Devin Mann walked to put the game-winning run on first. Down to the last strike of the ninth, Stevie Berman doubled to right field to bring in the game-winning run.
Gerardo Carrillo gave the Drillers 4 1⁄3 innings. He struck out six and allowed only one run.
High-A Great Lakes
The offense was hot on Friday night, as the Lakes took down the Captains, 8-2. Andy Pages had himself a day, finishing with three hits, two of which were home runs. Carson Taylor and Leonel Valera also had solid days at the plate, each adding three RBI.
Logan Boyer got the start, striking out two in a scoreless inning. Jesus Vargas followed in relief and was fantastic. In six innings, he allowed only two hits and didn’t allow a run. He also struck out five.
Low-A Rancho Cucamonga
It wasn’t a high scoring game we’ve grown accustomed to with Quakes games, as they took down the Storm, 2-0. Jorbit Vivas singled in a run in the fourth and Jonny Deluca tripled in a run in the sixth. That was all the offense they needed.
Carlos Duran started for RC, throwing four scoreless innings with five strikeouts.
