USA Baseball announced its 28-man training camp roster for the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Baseball Americas Qualifier. The final 26-man roster will be announced on Sunday, May 30.
Among the 28 players, a solid number of them are former Dodgers.

- Tim Federowicz (2011-2014)
- Homer Bailey (technically)
- Mike Scioscia (1980-1992) - Manager
The U.S. opens the Americas qualifying tournament against Nicaragua on May 31 at Port St. Lucie, Florida. Then the following day they will play the Dominican Republic at West Palm Beach and will first-round play in Group A against Puerto Rico on June 2 at Port St. Lucie.
Canada, Colombia, Cuba and Venezuela are in Group B.
The top two teams in each group will then advance to the super round on June 4 and June 5, and first-round results carry over. The top team from the super round will be joining Japan, Israel, Mexico and South Korea at the Olympic baseball tournament, which will be played in Japan from July 28 to Aug. 7 in Fukushima and Yokohama.
