Through the first month of the Loons’ season, Bobby Miller has looked as good as advertised. He’s now made seven starts and owns an ERA below 1.00. He’s currently in High-A right now, but it might not be long until we see him promoted to the Tulsa Drillers.
Triple-A Oklahoma City
A four-run sixth inning was all it took for the Dodgers to pick up the 6-2 win over the Express. After a single and back-to-back walks, the bases were loaded for OKC. Christian Santana doubled to give the Dodgers the lead, as he brought in two runs. Elliot Soto then followed him up with a two-RBI hit of his own, singling in two runs to make it 6-2.
The other two runs from OKC came in the second inning courtesy of a two-run homer from Zach Reks, his fifth of the season.
Kevin Quakenbush threw a scoreless ninth inning. He’s now thrown 13 1⁄3 scoreless innings this season for OKC.
Double-A Tulsa
The Drillers’ late-inning comeback came up just short, as they fell to the Travelers, 5-3. Tulsa scored two runs in the seventh and another in the eighth, but that was their lone offense on the night.
Carlos Rincon recorded two hits while the rest of the team recorded only a combined three. They were 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position and stranded eight runners on base.
High-A Great Lakes
Miller threw three innings and the Loons picked up the 4-3 victory. Miller continues to impress for the Loons, a team he might not be with much longer if he keeps this up.
For the game, he went three innings and allowed three runs, however they were all unearned. He struck out four and didn’t issue a walk. In seven starts this season, Miller owns a 0.86 ERA and has 24 strikeouts in 21 innings. His WHIP on the year is 0.76.
Bobby Miller's 4 Ks from his 3+ innings, 3/4 swinging, and he got a sword on the changeup. He gave up 2 hits, walked 0, and despite 3 unearned runs coming across, he lowered his ERA from 1.00 to 0.86, lowest in the High A Central (min 20 IP) pic.twitter.com/e2V5pJSKyu

Low-A Rancho Cucamonga
The Rawhide’s offense was too much for Rancho, as they took down the Quakes, 11-4. Jimmy Lewis, LA’s second round pick in 2020, lasted only 1⁄3 of an inning. He allowed five runs to score (three unearned) while allowing only one hit. His season hasn’t gotten off to a great start, as he currently owns a 9.39 ERA with a 2.22 WHIP. In 15 1⁄3 innings, he’s allowed 24 runs to score on 24 hits.
Ismael Alcantara was the lone bright spot on the offense. He was assigned to the Quakes on Tuesday and already has himself a three hit game, as he went 3-for-3 with a run driven in.
