This week on the podcast, I interviewed Jon Weisman about the latest edition of his book, ‘100 Things Dodgers Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die,’ which is available now.
This is the third edition of the book for Weisman, who first wrote it in 2009, then had a revised edition set for opening day in 2013. The newest version adds a treasure trove of information from the last eight years, one of the most prolific periods in franchise history, including the Dodgers’ first championship in 32 years.
Weisman talked about his process in writing the book, and deciding which previous chapters were cut (or moved to sidebars), constrained by the very title of the book to “100 things.”
The new, robust chapters in the book include Clayton Kershaw, the 2020 season (with special attention to Mookie Betts), Jaime Jarrín, Kenley Jansen, Dave Roberts, and much more. The informative book is a must read for Dodgers fans everywhere.
We recorded this interview on Saturday, June 19, on Spotify Greenroom. Thanks to everyone who took part in the chat.
