The Dodgers have their five All-Stars starting on Saturday night, including Walker Buehler on the mound. The position players occupy the top four spots in the lineup — Mookie Betts, who was named an All-Star reserve but will instead use the four-day break to rest, starts in right field, followed by Chris Taylor at shortstop, Justin Turner at third, and Max Muncy at second.
Left-hander Caleb Smith starts on the mound for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona made a few roster moves before Saturday’s game. Kole Calhoun was activated off the injured list after missing 67 games with a left hamstring strain, and starts in right field. Pitcher Andrew Young was recalled from Triple-A Reno, Infielder Asdrubal Cabrera was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right hamstring strain, and Friday’s starting pitcher Taylor Widener was optioned to Triple-A.
