The Dodgers were welcomed to the White House by President Joe Biden, as they celebrated and honored LA’s 2020 World Series Championship.

Here are some takeaways from the event:

Joe Biden thinks we’ll be doing this again soon

During his opening speech, President Biden said that the Dodgers very well could be back here by the end of the year. I don’t know about you, but I would be very okay with the Dodgers visiting the White House for a second time.

Clayton Kershaw presented Biden with a Dodgers jersey

One of the greatest pitchers of our generation spoke for a minute, thanking the President and talking about last season.

“First time being at the White House, sorry if I’m a little bit nervous,” Kershaw said.

They also presented Vice President Kamala Harris with a Dodgers jersey as well. This one is a little more sweet, as Harris is a well-known Giants fan! She’ll have some explaining to do to her family after this.

Joe Kelly wore the mariachi jacket he received the other day

For those who have been following this story, what an awesome ending we got. The other day, Kenley Jansen brought a mariachi band to play while the pitching staff was warming up. When they were finished, Joe Kelly approached one of the men and asked if he’d trade his jacket for Kelly’s jersey.

Well, they swapped... and Kelly wore the jacket AT THE WHITE HOUSE!

Here’s a clip of the exchange from the other day.
