Well, make that another player the Dodgers will be without on Saturday.
After recording a triple in the sixth inning, Cody Bellinger exited the game with left hamstring tightness. According to manager Dave Roberts, Bellinger won’t play on Saturday and there’s a chance he could miss Sunday as well.
“He’s going to be down tomorrow,” Roberts said following the game. “I like to think we got ahead of it. Same hamstring as before. He’ll be down tomorrow and hopefully come Sunday he’ll be back in there, but he’s day to day.”
As you remember, Bellinger missed a week in June with left hamstring tightness, the same exact injury. With both Bellinger and Betts down today, the Dodgers’ bench will be very limited.
In addition to Bellinger being down, Joe Kelly will also be down. Kelly hasn’t pitched since July 20, as Roberts said he’s been dealing with soreness. The hope is to have Kelly pitch on Sunday.
