The OKC Dodgers were the only team in action on Monday. Ryan Pepiot made his AAA debut after spending time in AA and Sheldon Neuse hit two home runs.

The Dodgers nearly had double the amount of runs as hits, as they took down the Express, 9-3. Although they managed to score nine runs, OKC had only five hits.

They jumped on the board in the second inning, as Steven Souza Jr. hit a grand slam for his ninth homer with OKC. They added three more runs an inning later off a three-run homer from Sheldon Neuse. The offense wouldn’t score again until the eighth inning, when Neuse hit his second home of the night.

Meanwhile, Ryan Pepiot made his Oklahoma City debut. After spending the season in Double-A with the Drillers, Pepiot was promoted over the weekend. He went five innings and threw 78 pitches with 49 of them being strikes.

In his five innings of action, he struck out seven and had 10 swing-and-misses. There was a rough stretch in the second inning, as he allowed a home run, hit a batter and then issued a walk. He then threw a wild pitch to bring in a run. Pepiot was able to respond with back-to-back outs to end the inning.

The third inning went a lot better, as he struck out the side on 13 pitches with 10 of them being strikes. He put two runners on in the fourth inning, but he was able to respond with back-to-back outs and get out of the inning without allowing a run. In his final inning of work he got three flyouts to get him through three innings.
