The Dodgers added an extra arm to their bullpen for their series against the Braves, as they activated Evan Phillips off the injured list. In the move, the Dodgers optioned Mitch White, who started last night for the Dodgers.

Phillips has been sidelined for 10 days with a right quad strain. This will be his second appearance with LA. In his first outing, he tossed 2 13 innings out of the bullpen. Phillips was claimed off waivers from the Rays a few weeks ago.

For White, he likely won’t be down for too long, as the Dodgers will likely need him at some point within the next 10 days or so. He started yesterday and took home the loss, as he allowed three runs in his 3 13 innings of action.

On the season, White is 1-2 with a 3.49 ERA and 41 strikeouts. He’ll report back to Oklahoma City, where he’s appeared in eight games this season.
