Mookie Betts hit a home run on his bobblehead night in yesterday’s victory. That got me thinking, how many Dodgers players have hit a home run on their bobblehead night? Well, I did some research to find my answer.
Manny Ramirez — June 22, 2009
Manny was the first and arguably the most memorable. He hit a pinch-hit grand slam on his bobblehead night... which ended up becoming another bobblehead later in the season.
Hanley Ramirez — April 30, 2013
Juan Uribe — July 11, 2015 *****
Now.... this is a weird one. If you remember, Juan Uribe was traded to the Braves during the 2015 season. He was actually a member of the Braves when the Dodgers held his bobblehead night. Though Uribe wasn’t at Dodger Stadium, he actually hit a home run for the Braves on the road at Coors Field.
Should we count it?
Yasiel Puig — July 29, 2015
Howie Kendrick — August 9, 2016
Cody Bellinger — April 21, 2018
Manny Machado — September 22, 2018
Cody Bellinger — March 30, 2019 [2 home runs]
Max Muncy — June 29, 2021
Mookie Betts — August 30, 2021
