Baseball America spoke to Emilee Fragapane, a senior data analyst with the Dodgers, about the challenges she faces in her role with the team.
Fragapane started with the Dodgers nine years ago and she lays out what she has seen in terms of where the game was when she started versus where she sees it going with big data. In moving from a baseball fan to an analyst, she had to learn how to think like coaches and players to understand the realities on the field.
Each year brings its own questions to answer. Fragapane and her group have had a great deal to consider with all the new faces due to injuries.
