This will be a big series for the Dodgers as they continue to fight for first place in the NL West. However, this weeks series will mean more to one player.
Albert Pujols.
He returns to St. Louis, the city in which he spent the first 11 seasons of his Hall-of-Fame career. Pujols has only played at Busch Stadium once since he left for the Angels, so fans will have another chance to welcome him back to the city.
The Angels played in St. Louis from June 21-23 back in 2019. It took seven years for him to finally make his return, but the moment was magical.
Dave Roberts said that Pujols will get the start on Tuesday and Thursday. Here was his reception his first time back in St. Louis. I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s exactly the same as it was then.
