Mesa starter Mike Wright (Orioles) allowed 3 early runs, and from there the Solar Sox went down quietly as they fell to Peoria 4 to 2. While Mesa had 9 hits, only two went for extra bases which led to the slow offensive night. Javelinas hurler Kyle Gibson threw a good game as he K'ed 8 batters, while old friend Logan Bawcom came in later in the contest and recorded a hold.
Three Dodger players participated in this game, starting with catcher Griff Erickson who had his first multi-hit effort of the season with a pair of singles. Rafael Ynoa extended his hitting streak to 5 games with a single of his own, and he also stole his 2nd base of the season.
Finally Red Patterson tossed a scoreless frame, and has yet to allow a hit in his 3 innings of work. According to Gameday threw almost all fastball, topping out at 93 mph on the radar gun. He also mixed in a couple of low 80's sliders, both of which induced fly outs.
Coming up: Still no sign of Onelki Garcia as Dae-Eun Rhee of the Cubs will get the start for the Solar Sox. Mesa will be opposed by Kyle Kaminska (Pittsburgh) and the Scottsdale Scorpions
