The Mesa Solar Sox lost 8-3 to the Scottsdale Scorpions on Thursday, the fourth straight loss in the Arizona Fall League for the Dodgers' contingent. Outfielder Joc Pederson continued his slump.

Pederson played center field and batted leadoff on Thursday, and was 0-for-4, and is 0-for-19 through five games. He does have two walks and three strikeouts, but the 16 times he had put the ball in play have resulted in outs.

Andres Santiago made his second start for Mesa, and took the loss (0-1). Santiago allowed three runs on three hits in three innings of work, with five walks and four strikeouts. Chris Reed allowed two runs of his own in the fifth inning, with two walks, and has a 15.00 ERA in four games.

Eric Eadington, also pitching in his fourth AFL game, pitched a scoreless seventh inning.

Rafael Ynoa, who batted second behind behind Pederson, went 1-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to six games. He has a hit in all six games he has played and is hitting .381/.458/.571 in the early going.
