Down 4 - 1 heading into the 9th the Solar Sox staged an unlikely rally and tied the game, but they still fell short of their quest for a victory as a walk off homer by Andy Wilkins (White Sox) gave the Rafters the win in the 10th. The defeat was the 7th straight for Mesa who are now 3 - 9 for the season.

Four different Dodger players got into Monday's box score, with Rafael Ynoa as the only starter. The 2nd baseman was able to extend his hitting streak to 9 games with a single, but he also struck out twice including during a critical situation in the 9th (although was picked up by teammate Matt Szczur (Cubs) who subsequently tied the game). Joc Pederson was used as a pinch runner in the 9th and actually stole a base on Ynoa's strikeout, and while he never got a plate appearance he did score the game tying run.

On the mound starter Mike Wright (Orioles) allowed a couple of runs in 3 innings of work, then Chris Reed gave up 2 more on a walk and 3 hits in just one inning. One positive note is that he did strike out a pair. Five different relievers followed with a shutout inning each prior to the walk off homer, including Red Patterson. Patterson walked one but allowed nothing else in his frame.

Coming up: The Solar Sox will send Dae-Eun Rhee (Cubs) to the mound on Tuesday, and he'll be opposed by Brian Flynn (Marlins) of the Phoenix Desert Dogs.
