Down by 2 heading after 7 and a half frames against the Rafters, Mesa struck for one in the 8th and another in the 9th to record their second tie of the season. 2nd baseman Rafael Ynoa was the hero in the final inning as his second hit of the game, a soft line drive single to center, plated the tying run. That base knock broke Mesa's 0 for 9 streak with runners in scoring position, and increased his team leading average to .373.

Solar Sox starter Luke Putkonen (Tigers) pitched a good game despite not recording a strikeout as he allowed just 2 hits and 1 run over 4 frames. Four Mesa relievers combined to give up just one unearned run over the final 5 innings, including Chris Reed's best performance thus far. The lefty pitched the top of the 9th and struck out the first two batters he faced, then got the other batter to pop out.

Coming up: The Solar Sox face Peoria on Thursday Nick Tropeano (Astros) will take on Tim Crabbe (Reds). November not only brings a new month to the AFL season, however, but it also means it will soon be time for the annual Rising Stars game. This year's "All-Star" game, to be played this coming Saturday, will feature several of baseball's best prospects, but Joc Pederson will be the only Dodger to participate.
