While we recover from the shock and awe from the Blue Jays acquiring Josh Johnson, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes, Emilio Bonifacio, and John Buck from the Marlins, here's a look at Tuesday's Arizona Fall League action, featuring players with salaries that Jeffrey Loria craves.

Three Dodgers pitched a combined 4⅓ scoreless innings for the Mesa Solar Sox on Tuesday, but they did allow three of five inherited runners to score as Mesa fell 10-8 to the Surprise Saguaros.

Chris Reed entered the game with one out in the fourth inning, trying to stop the bleeding as starter Luke Putkonen had allowed five runs to that point. Reed began his day with runners on the corners, and he allowed one to score, but otherwise didn't allow a run to his own ledger. Reed in his last four appearances has eight strikeouts and two walks in 4⅔ innings, with just one run allowed, and five hits.

Mesa held an 8-7 lead in the sixth inning with two outs, when Red Patterson was called in to get out of a bases-loaded jam. Cesar Puello, a 21-year old outfielder in the Mets' system, greeted Patterson with a two-run double to give Surprise the lead. But Patterson was able to get the final out of the sixth, then pitched a scoreless seventh with no runs allowed by him.

Eric Eadington retired all four batters he faced in the eighth and ninth innings, and didn't allow a run against his own account nor that of anyone else.

Infielder Rafael Ynoa had a two-single in a five-run fourth inning for the Solar Sox, and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in the game. He is hitting .330/.376/.505.

Also, in case you missed it, Chad Moriyama found his way down to Arizona and interviewed both Onelki Garcia and Joc Pederson.

Tuesday Solar Sox Box Score
