2017 MLB Draft schedule: Dodgers make 8 picks on Tuesday

Rounds 3-10 happen on Day 2

MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers at Miami Marlins Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

The first day of the draft is complete, with the Dodgers taking a pair of college players with their first two picks. Tuesday brings us Rounds 3-10, where the Dodgers have eight selections.

The Dodgers drafted Vanderbilt outfielder Jeren Kendall with their first selection, No. 23 overall, then in the second round picked Texas right-hander Morgan Cooper with the No. 62 pick.

On Tuesday, the Dodgers pick No. 100 overall in the third round, then No. 130 in the fourth round, and 30 picks later in each successive round.

Current Dodgers selected in Rounds 3-10 include Justin Turner (7th round, 2006), Cody Bellinger (4th round, 2013), Chris Taylor (5th round, 2012), Kiké Hernandez (6th round, 2009), Austin Barnes (9th round, 2011), Rich Hill (4th round, 2002), Ross Stripling (5th round, 2012), and Chris Hatcher (5th round, 2006).

There is no more television coverage of the draft, but the remainder will be broadcast online through MLB.com. The pace will be somewhat manageable on Tuesday, with one-minute intervals in between picks through Round 10, but on Wednesday, there is no time in between picks, which makes sense because the final day of the draft has 900 picks, Rounds 11-40.

Online coverage on Tuesday begins with a pre-show at 9:30 a.m. PT, followed by the draft itself starting up again at 10 a.m.
