The MLB Draft kicks off on Monday and will continue through until Wednesday afternoon. It lasts 40 rounds and are selected based on a team’s record from the previous season. The Baltimore Orioles had the worst record in 2018, so they will get pick No. 1 in the draft. You can check the draft order here.
The Dodgers will get picks No. 25, 31 and 78 on day one. The Dodgers were able to snag a compensation pick (No. 31) because they failed to sign their first round pick from the 2018 MLB Draft, J.T. Ginn. LA will also get eight picks on day two, as well as 30 picks on day three.
Representing the Dodgers in the MLB Draft will be Ron Cey and Marty Lamb.
Day one can be viewed on MLB Network and MLB.com while days two and three will be available exclusively on MLB.com.
True Blue LA will cover the MLB Draft extensively, providing draft threads for conversation each day, profiles for each Dodgers draft pick as well as a draft recap.
