The details for the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft have been set, and the two-day affair will be televised by a pair of networks.

MLB Network will have the draft on both days. The first 37 picks — the first round plus Competitive Balance Round A — will be also be on ESPN on Wednesday, June 10, beginning at 4 p.m. PT. The final four rounds will be televised by ESPN2 on Thursday, June 11 beginning at 2 p.m.

ESPN’s coverage will also be streamed online.

Much like the NFL Draft in April, there will be cameras at the remote locations of a front office person for each MLB team during the draft.

“Andrew [Friedman]’s going to be the only one on TV, so all the pressure is turned to him there,” Dodgers VP of amateur scouting Billy Gasparino said with a smile last week. “We’re expecting big things out of Andrew.”

The Dodgers have six overall picks in this five-round draft. Their first-round pick, 29th overall will be selected on June 10. Their final five picks, including the Competitive Balance Round B pick, 66th overall, acquired from the Twins, will be on June 11.

National mock drafts so far have linked the Dodgers to at least three college pitchers, four college hitters, one high school hitter, and one high school pitcher.

“It’s probably the deepest draft in the last five years, especially in the first round,” Gasparino said last week. “The college pitching group and the high school hitting group are really strong.”
