Most of the pomp and circumstance with the MLB Draft has dissipated after the first round, but the second day of the draft might be the most important. Teams finish off their first 10 rounds, which define the bonus pool they are able to spend on the entire draft.
The second round of the draft will be televised by MLB Network beginning at 10 a.m. PT, with Scott Braun anchoring the coverage along with analysts Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo providing their expertise. That trio shifts online for the rest of the day, with Rounds 3-10 streamed on MLB.com.
After four minutes between picks in the first round, and two minutes in between the final seven picks on Sunday, things move much quicker on Monday with only one minute between picks.
Things got started with the first 36 picks of the draft on Sunday night. The Dodgers picked Alabama high school left-hander Maddux Bruns with their first-round pick.
The Dodgers don’t have a second-round pick, but they do have eight picks on Monday, beginning with the end of the third round, selection No. 101 overall.

The other picks on Monday include Competitive Balance Round B — eight picks in between the second and third rounds — and an Astros compensatory pick in between the fourth and fifth rounds — No. 132 overall — for losing Springer.
